Kazumasa Mizokami

Born in Arita, Japan on March 10, 1958. He grew up in a porcelain kiln run by his family. In 1979, she graduated from the Seto Academy of Ceramic Arts. In 1982 he was sent to Mexico to contribute to the development of ceramics and taught at the Ceramic School of Toluca until 1987. In 1988 he moved to Italy. In 1991 he graduated in sculpture at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. He currently lives and works in Milan.

KAZUMASA MIZOKAMI nasce ad Arita, in Giappone, il 10 marzo 1958. È cresciuto in una fornace di porcellana gestita dalla sua famiglia. Nel 1979 si è diplomata l’Accademia di arti ceramiche di Seto. Nel 1982 è stato inviato in Messico, per contribuire allo sviluppo della ceramica e ha insegnato presso la Scuola di Ceramica di Toluca fino al 1987. Nel 1988 si è trasferito in Italia. Nel 1991 si è diplomato in scultura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. Attualmente vive e lavora a Milano.

1976 佐賀県立武雄高校卒業
1979 愛知県立瀬戸窯業陶芸専攻科卒業後
川原康孝教授の開いた石康窯で陶芸磁器の指導を受ける。
1983 メキシコのトルーカ陶磁器学校の教員としてMOA財団から派遣される。 轆轤と装飾の教科を担当、メキシコにおける磁器土、高火度用の窯などの開発に協力する。
1987 西洋美術を知るためメキシコからイタリアに渡航。ブレラ美術アカデミーに入り彫刻科を専攻。現代アートの歴史、美学、デッサン、写真、解剖学、などを学び、大理石 、ブロンズ、樹脂、プラスチック、他色々な素材で試作する。
1991 同アカデミー卒業後、今日までミラノ市にアトリエを構え、制作、在住。
